        While Libertarians represent the majority of conservatives in many ways -- States' rights, 2nd Amendment rights, and such -- they don't in other ways, so I wouldn't say they can take "back" the heart of the Republican party.

        For example, I think most conservatives support preemptive war under limited circumstances, and also foreign wars to stop genocides in such. We regularly disagree on which wars are justified, but the majority of conservatives reject what I perceive as military isolationism in Libertarian philosophy. Another example is abortion. I disapprove of the LP's each-to-his-own stance on whether or not children have a right to live.

        That said, I welcome much of the change the Libertarian Party is trying to affect.
