Should the U.S. publish the photos of Guantanamo? Possibly sparking more Muslim youth to join/fight
The word is that the new exposing photos posess an unGodly portrait of our Military. Sodomy, Sleep deprivation upto 7 days in tiny cells not built for a man, children as young as 13 being abused, permanant blinding from toxins and repeated macings, instruments placed in orifaces, and ultimately murder. How will the world view this and how can we expect to receive redemption from the world as a nation. These are not leaders, these are MisLeaders.

Is there a major philosophical divide between Cato and the Mises Institutes? Can they be reconciled?
Both of these organizations claim to be supporters of liberty but it seems that the Cato Institute has become too much of a "Beltway" organization. What can be done to bring these two groups together to further the cause of freedom?

General Motors (GM)
GM is now being coined as Government Motors by some. Does anyone really believe Obama when he says the government will not be running GM? Do people really not understand that this is fascism? Do people really believe him when he says that it will be "temporary"?

Ron Paul 2012?
A short blog post on the Reason website from last November suggested that a 2012 Ron Paul presidential run was still a possibility; see http://www.reason.com/blog/show/130095.html
Has Dr. Paul given any more thought to the idea, especially in consideration of how much the movement has grown since the conclusion of his 2008 campaign?

discuss the failures of the i.s. constitution
the constitution has failed, we have a big government, and Jefferson said the constitution would limit it size. it apparently did not.
the constitution was pushed by the federalist, the big government guys, led by Alexander Hamilton, the guy who was in love with British mercantilism and wanted an American king, so one has to question how small the constitution was suppose to limit the federal government.

Sotomayor could mean power back to states to make abortion decisions?
Evidence suggest that Sotomayor is Pro-life (and catholic). Will Roe vs. Wade overturn giving power back to states? Shouldnt we make Democrats push for an answer to this question?
To me it forces Dems to stand on one side or the other of their Identity politics game?3 votes -
