Mainstream attempts to hijack and direct liberty movement
It is glaringly obvious that mainstream conservative rhetoric changed on a dime once Obama entered the White House. Those who regularly mocked and attacked Ron Paul and his like-minded supporters are suddenly pretending to have sided with the good doctor all along.
The old guard see that the liberty movement has great appeal, so it is no surprise to see them attempt to wrestle control of it from the grassroots in order to dictate its direction on their terms.

How do we make the transition from the Fed to gold as money?
Should we pass a law abolishing the Fed, how long would it take to get rid of it? When returning to a gold standard, would all existing dollars be backed by gold/silver or would they be gradually phased out (if so please describe the phase out process)? Do you support giving the Fed only the power to be a "clearinghouse"?

Can you discuss the "Caught In The AIPAC- Andrew Sullivan"

How can we insure that these people are brought to justice?
Where does one begin in Jeff Stein's scoop in CQ? Is it more of a scandal that the Bushies were wire-tapping Harman and then were in a position to blackmail her if she didn't provide public support for ... their warrantless wire-tapping? Or is it just another day at the office for AIPAC:
Rep. Jane Harman ... was overheard on an NSA wiretap telling a suspected Israeli agent that she would lobby the Justice Department to reduce espionage-related charges against two officials of the American Israeli Public Affairs…

Impact of limiting House to 435 representatives?
The House has been artificially fixed to 435 representatives in 1928. Where each averaged around 30,000 citizens before, they are now averaging 700,000 and growing! What impact do you feel this has had on our system of government?

How about discussing historical precendents?
Hitler's Germany, Stalin's Russia, Castro's Cuba, Chavez's Venezuela, and the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia all have a well documented history of first marginalizing a targeted group then letting loose the state apparatus on that group. What's then in store for disenchanted veterans, Second Amendment activists, Ron Paul supporters, and other "Right Wing" "extremists"?

Naomi Wolf should be on too.
I want to hear her take on the recent actions by the DHS and FBI.. what does she think of Obama's reaction to these actions? Does her belief that the US slid towards fascism under Bush still apply now?

Ron Paul's son Rand Paul for Senate 2010.
There is some talk about Rand Paul running for Senate in Kentucky in 2010. He has many similar political views that his father has and is a perfect candidate for liberty as well as a washington outsider. Go Rand!

Breaking campaign promises – normal or basis for impeachment
In his first 100 days in office, president Obama did a 180 on almost all of his campaign promises. Should the people just accept it, or send a message to the next guy ?
If your being lead down a path that you've been on before, do stop and take a moment to say i have been here i'm not doing this again? or do we just hope this time the path you already know will take you somewhere new?17 votes

My personal feeling is that, as bad as it is, breaking campaign promises is rather normal. What I consider basis for impeachment, removal from office, and prosecution is the continual breaking of their oaths of office to uphold, protect, and defend the Constitution…

National Guard
I thought Governor's were in charge of the National Guard in their states. QWhy now, do they have to ask the Fed for troops on our southern border states?

Napolitano/Schiff 2012?
Can we begin the campaign now? Three years to gather support. I think we'd have a real shot. We'd coordinate congressional runs for 2010 and 2012.

Isn't it hypocritical to only defend the constitutionalists
In both the DHS report on right-wing extremists and the Missouri report on militias, shouldn't one be appalled that people are being profiled for the political beliefs, no matter what their beliefs are?
But those such as the Judge has made it sound as if they were only appalled and shocked that liberty defenders were put on a profile list with the neonazis and skinheads. As if it is perfectly normal to have such people on a profile report.
I personally believe everyone should have freedom of speech and no one should be profiled for their beliefs, even if I…

Reaction to Rick Perry's Secession remarks?
I think it would be interesting to hear about the constitutional basis of secession and some of the history, in regard to Rick Perry's recent remarks that Texas might secede if things get bad in the future.
